Medicine advances through the observation of nature. For that matter, a primary reason for preserving native ecosystems is that such ecosystems promise to be the source of future medical advances.
The Montana Herb Gathering is an annual event that takes place each July. During the gathering scientists, scholars and others interested in native plants and herbal medicine learn about the medicinal herbs of the Rocky Mountains bioregion.
